The Château de Sully-sur-Loire puts the "ninth art" in the spotlight through a dual program combining a historical exhibition and privileged encounters with authors.

Sully-sur-Loire Castle is transformed into a haven for comic book lovers!
In exceptional partnership with the Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l'image (International City of Comics and Images) in Angoulême and the Loiret Departmental Library, we invite you to explore this fascinating world through an exhibition displayed in the main hall on the ground floor of the keep and in the Hall of Honor on the first floor.

To extend the experience, a cozy reading corner has been set up within the castle.

The Main Lower Hall: A Historical Journey
Dive into the history of comics. From its origins to the present day, discover how this genre has become a major and essential art form in our culture.
The Hall of Honor: The Secrets of Creation
Go behind the scenes of creation. From the original idea to the final page, this exhibition reveals the technical and artistic steps that bring your favorite heroes to life.You will discover original comic strips and figurines from the world of comics.

Don't miss our special weekend, a true festival in the heart of the monument:
Meet & Greet & Sign: Come chat with comic book authors during discussions and talks. A unique opportunity to discover their craft and leave with a personalized signed copy.
Pop-Up Bookstore: A bookstore is setting up shop in the castle! You can purchase the latest albums from the authors present, as well as a selection of hidden gems of the 9th art, before getting your work signed.
Creative Workshops: Young and old, let your imagination run wild! Participate in workshops led by a professional illustrator to learn the basics of comic book drawing or hone your skills. Reading sessions and other creative workshops await you on April 18th and 19th.
Roundtable discussions and comic book presentations will be offered throughout the weekend of April 18th and 19th.
