August 1 and 2: rates and opening hours
On August 1 and 2, 2026, our rates, opening hours, and practical information will change due to the "Les Médiévales de Sully" event.
Opening hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Visits: There will be no guided tours this weekend due to the many activities on offer. You may explore the château at your own pace using the available visitor resources: room guides, audio guides, information panels, etc.
Rates:
Tickets must be purchased on-site at the château reception.
The ticket includes access to the event activities and a self-guided tour of the château.
- €12 full price
- €8 reduced rate (Reduced rates apply to: students up to age 25; youths aged 6–17; people with disabilities upon presentation of a disability card; job seekers; CNAS cardholders; recipients of social welfare benefits (RSA, ASS, AAH, ATA, AER); large family cardholders; school group chaperones; and holders of a full-price ticket from our partners: Château-musée de Gien, Musée de Lorris, Château de Chamerolles, Musée de la Marine de Loire in Châteauneuf-sur-Loire, and Belvédère de Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire).
- Free for children under 6
- Free admission also applies to: wheelchair users; companions of people with disabilities; licensed tour guides; museum staff (ICOM, OCIM cards); tourist office staff; members of the National Federation of Interpreter-Guides; and press cardholders.
- Family packages are not available during the weekend of August 1 and 2; we apologize for any inconvenience.
Last admission is 30 minutes before the château closes (5:30 PM).
Your ticket is valid for the entire day: you may leave and re-enter at any time—for instance, to have lunch in town (restaurants and bakeries are within a 3–5 minute walk across the moat; simply take the footbridge to your right as you exit the château) and return later in the afternoon if you wish.
There is no on-site dining, but local restaurants will be happy to welcome you.
Visit duration:
Average of 1 hour 15 minutes for a self-guided tour of the château
Average of 1 hour 15 minutes to enjoy the activities (this depends on whether you attend all the activities, which may extend the time spent)
Activities:
Around 30 costumed reenactors await you in the courtyard and on the ground floor of the château (accessible to visitors with reduced mobility).
Continuous activities: daily life, the lord's quarters, medicine, weaponry, gastronomy, etc.
Scheduled performances throughout the day: music, theater, and artillery demonstrations.
