The Château de Sully-sur-Loire is being transformed into a temple of comics!
In exceptional partnership with the Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l'image (International City of Comics and Images) in Angoulême and the Loiret Departmental Library, we invite you to explore this fascinating world through an exhibition displayed in the large lower hall on the ground floor of the keep and in the main hall on the first floor.

The Lower Hall: A Historical Journey
Immerse yourself in the history of comics. From its origins to the present day, discover how this genre has become a major and essential art form in our culture.
The Hall of Honor: The Secrets of Creation
Go behind the scenes of the creative process. From the initial idea to the final page, this exhibition reveals the technical and artistic steps that bring your favorite heroes to life.
You will discover original comic strips and figurines from the world of comics.
🛋️ A reading break at the heart of history
To extend the experience, a cozy reading corner has been set up within the castle.
Settle in comfortably in this historic setting and enjoy a selection of books available for your reading pleasure.

Don't miss our special weekend, a true festival in the heart of the monument:
Meet & Greet & Sign: Come chat with comic book authors during discussions and talks. A unique opportunity to discover their craft and leave with a personalized signed copy.
Pop-Up Bookstore: A bookstore is setting up shop in the castle! You can purchase the latest albums from the authors present, as well as a selection of hidden gems of the 9th art, before getting your book signed.
Creative Workshops: Young and old alike, let your imagination run wild! Participate in workshops led by a professional illustrator to learn the basics of comic book drawing or hone your drawing skills.
